The Story of Wish You Were Here (בתרגום חופשי: הסיפור של "Wish You Were Here") הוא סרט דוקומנטרי כמעט נטול עריכה על ההכנה של האלבום Wish You Were Here מאת פינק פלויד. אחרי ששודר במספר ערוצי טלוויזיה, כגון BBC Four,[1] הוא הופץ באופן רשמי ב-26 ביוני 2012, בגרסת DVD ו-Blu-ray.
הסרט נותן מבט נרחב על ההקלטות, השירים והנושא של האלבום. בסרט ישנם ראיונות עם כמעט כל אדם שהשתתף בהכנת האלבום. זהו הסרט הדוקומנטרי השני של פינק פלויד שהפיצה החברה Eagle Rock, כאשר קודמו היה The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon (משנת 2003).
בין המשתתפים בסרט היו שלושת חברי פינק פלויד שחיו בתקופת הצילומים - ניק מייסון, רוג'ר ווטרס ודייוויד גילמור. משתתפים נוספים הם ג'ו בויד, וונטה פילדס, ג'יל פרמאנובסקי, רוי הארפר, בריאן האמפריס, פיטר ג'נר, ניק קנט, אובריי פאוול, רוני רונדל (האיש הנשרף בציור שעל העטיפה המקורית של האלבום "Wish You Were Here"), ג'רלד סקארף וסטורם ת'ורג'רסון.
אורך הסרט הוא בערך 59 דקות, או 84 דקות בגרסה מיוחדת שכוללת 25 דקות של ראיונות. הסרט כולל גם צילומים ישנים של רוג'ר ווטרס ודייוויד גילמור מבצעים חלק מהשירים שבאלבום, והקלטות קודמות של השירים מהארכיונים של אולפני אבי רוד שמושמעות על ידי טכנאי ההקלטות של האלבום, בריאן האמפריס.[2]
