Doron Kempel (born July 29, 1963) is an innovative international technology and not an entrepreneur . He is the founder and CEO of SimpliVity Corporation (sold HPE in 2017 for about $ 650 meters) , founder and CEO of Hardworking Technologies (sold to IBM in 2008 for about $ 200M) , former vice president and general manager at Dell, EMC (EMC Corporation until 2001) .[1][2][3]

Kempel graduated from the Harvard Business School with the Master of Business Administration (MBA). He also held a Law Degree (LLM), a philosophy home degree (BA) from Tel Aviv University . [4] Kempel was also a national member of the Israel Youth Team-Handball Group.[5]

Kempel served the IDF from 1981 through 1994. He was the deputy commander of Sayeret , the IDF's special forces unit, including former Israeli prime ministers Ehud Barak and Benjamin Netanyahu serving as officers.

He led dozens of covert special missions and was decorated by Chief Chief Decoration Officer, until then the IDF commander, Lieutenant General Ehud Barak, extraordinary, courage, command and resourcefulness under fire.In 1992 he led the planning and preparation of Operation Bramble Bush - targeted assassination of Saddam Hussein , then President of Iraq . Kempel was intended to lead the mission in Iraq, but it was canceled due to live ammunition during the event the dress rehearsal before the mission of causing the death of six Israeli soldiers who Kempel and his deputy to stand trial .

Kempel was offered to continue his service in the IDF , but he chose to stop his service, fell ill and was accepted to the Harvard Business School, thus launching his career .

Prior to joining Dell, EMC, Kempel was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Imedia Corporation. Imedia Corporation was acquired by Terayon Communications Systems .

Kempel initiated and became vice president and general manager of Communications Solutions Group at EMC Corporation in 1998 and led this organization until 2001.

In 2003, Kempel founded the company's data storage industrious technologies with a fellow entrepreneur Moshe Yanai . [6]Kempel led as CEO & CEO. Yanai was an investor. In April 2008, IBM acquired industrious technologies for an estimated 200 m . [7]Kempel stayed with IBM for a period of 15 months, to facilitate the integration of diligent into IBM.

In August 2009, Kempel founded SimpliVity Corporation, which initiated the introduction of the HyperConverged, Cloud, IT infrastructure, a combination of servers, storage and networking into one device in a one-on-one system . [8]In February 2017, HPE acquired SimpliVity for an estimated $ 650 million (including $ 50 million in employee retention program SimpliVity) .
