לקהילת משתתפי פרויקט הויקיפדיה העברית, כבר היה ברור לי למשך הרבה זמן שהויקיפדיה העברית מתנהלת כמו ספרו של ג'ורג' אורוול חוות החיות. ניסיתי להלחם בתופעה הזאת ככל יכולתי, אך מצאתי שהמשחק מכור כנגדי. המצב התדרדר כל כך, שכעת אומרים בפה מלא שכל הויקיפדים שווים, אך יש שווים יותר ושווים פחות. מכיוון שאני לא נמצא בקבוצה של השווים יותר, הדעות שלי מצונזרות, ואם חלילה אני מנסה לשחזר אותם, אני סופג איומים שיחסמו אותי, איומים שמתממשים ללא היסוס, מפני שהשווים יותר חושבים שלשחזר אותם זה השחתה אם חלילה יש שווה יותר שמנסה להלחם למען השווים פחות, מייד פועלים נגדו. לאור המצב העגום, יש לי שלוש אפשרויות: להמשיך לערוך ערכים ובכל פעם שיש מחלוקת עם מישהו מהרשימה של השווים יותר, לקבל את זה שהדיעה של השווה יותר עולה על דעתי, ולוותר. להמשיך להילחם ולהסתכן בחסימה לנצח לפרוש מתוך הכרה שהקהילה פה מעוניינת להמשיך עם הסטטוס קוו, כפי שניתן לראות מההצבעה זאת. ראוי לציין שאפילו ה"טרולים" הכי ידועים פה, חכם חנוכה ו-Jiddisch ו-Diza, היו יכולים להוות תורמים רצויים אילו היו מתייחסים אליהם אחרת. ללא ספק השניים הגיבו בצורה לא הולמת ליחס של היד חזקה והזרוע הנטויה שהם קיבלו, אבל אפשר היה להמנע מכל זה. עובדה שאיך שהוא הם מצאו מקום בויקיפדיות אחרות (אנגלית ואידיש). שתי האפשרויות הראשונות אינן מכובדות, ולכן אני בוחר באפשרות השלישית. המעונינים ימצאו אותי בויקיפדיה האנגלית עם אותו שם משתמש. --בברכה, Asbl, איי אס בי אל 02:51, 5 מרץ 2006 (UTC)

Dear International Visitors to the Hebrew Wikipedia Project, It has been clear to me for quite some time that the Hebrew Wikipedia Project is being run like the George Orwell's book Animal Farm. I have tried to fight this phenomenon to the best of my ability, but found that the deck is stacked against me. The situation here has deteriorated to such a point that it is now openly stated that all Wikipedians are equal, but some are more equal than others. Since I am not a member of the more equal group, my opinions are censored, and if I dare to revert the censorship, I get threatened to be blocked, threats that are swiftly followed through. If, God forbid, there is a more equal who tries to fight for the less equal, then action is immediately taken against him, as the more equal members believe that reverting them is vanalism. Given the hopelessness of the situation, I have three options 1. Continue to edit articles, and if a disagreement arises with someone who is more equal, then accept that that opinion is superior to mine and relinquish 2. Continue to fight and risk being blocked for eternity 3. Leave with the recognition that the community here is interested in maintaining the status quo as demonstrated in this vote It is worth mentioning that even the project's most infamous "trolls", חכם חנוכה and Jiddisch Diza, could have been usuful contributors if they would have been treated differently. No doubt their response to the heavy handed tactics used against them was wrong, but it was avoidable. This is evidenced by the fact that they were able to find a place in different Wikipedia projects (English and Yiddish respectively). The first two options are degrading; henceforth, I choose the third option.
