טאנג פינג
טאנג פינג (בסינית: 躺平, פיניין: Tǎng píng ,תרגום: לשכב שטוח) הוא תחדיש סלנג סיני המתאר דחייה אישית של לחצים חברתיים לעבודת יתר ולהישגיות, כמו בלוח משמרות 996, הנחשבת לרוב כמרוץ עכברים עם תפוקה שולית פוחתת.[1][2][3][4] טאנג פינג פירושו בחירה "להשתטח בשכיבה ולהתגבר על ספיגת מכות" באמצעות גישה אדישה לחיים.
הסופר ליאו זנגהו תיאר את "לשכב שטוח" כתנועת התנגדות פסיבית-אגרסיבית, [5] והניו יורק טיימס כינה אותה חלק מתרבות נגד סינית בהתהוות. זה גם הושווה להתפטרות הגדולה, גל של התפטרויות שהחל במערב בערך באותו זמן.[6][7][8] המרכז הלאומי לניטור ומחקר של משאבי שפה, מוסד המזוהה עם משרד החינוך של סין, רשם את המילה כאחד מ-10 הממים הפופולריים ביותר לשנת 2021 באינטרנט הסיני. מנוע החיפוש הסיני Sogou גם רשם את המילה בראש רשימת הממים הפופולריים ביותר לשנת 2021.[9] הצנזורה בסין שחלק ממטרתה היא להציג את סין באור חיובי בעולם החלה לחסום את השימוש במונח.
אלה שבוחרים להיות "טאנג פינג" עשויים להנמיך את המחויבות המקצועית ואת השאיפות הכלכליות שלהם, לפשט את מטרותיהם, תוך שהם עדיין פרודוקטיביים מבחינה כלכלית באופן מינימלי לצרכיהם החיוניים, ולתעדף בריאות פסיכולוגית על פני חומרנות כלכלית.[10][11]
הביטוי האמריקאי "quiet quitting", כלומר לעשות רק את מה שעבודתו דורשת ותו לא, שהפך פופולרי בארצות הברית בשנת 2022,[12][13] נחשב בהשראת תנועת טאנג פינג.[14] ביטוי חדש יותר קשור הוא "בַּאי לַאן" שפירושו "לאמץ באופן פעיל מצב מתדרדר, במקום לנסות להפוך אותו". בעיקרון, זה מתייחס לנסיגה מרצון מרדיפה אחר מטרות מסוימות מכיוון שאנשים מבינים שפשוט קשה מדי להשגה או חסר טעם לנסות.[15]
